Ecommerce Launch

Looking to create a brand and establish and online stored front that would support product sales, Celestialscent approached us with their vision. 

Celestialscent had access to luxury perfumes at wholesale prices and had it as a mission to provide easy access to luxury products to the wider market – And they wanted a brand that could communicate that to all future visitors.

Celestial Scent is a luxury fragrance brand based out of the Netherlands offering high-quality perfumes at an affordable price. For now, the brand has been focused on the European and looking to expand internally. Their mission is to make premium fragrances accessible to a wider audience.

The challenge

Celestial Scent had access to a wide range of luxury fragrances at wholesale prices but didn’t have the right platform to show them off, run promotions smoothly, or give customers an easy and enjoyable shopping experience. Their digital setup wasn’t doing them any favors when it came to conversions or backend functionality either. That’s when we jumped in. 

We worked together to create an e-commerce site that not only showcases their products beautifully but also created a smooth user journey that would encourage products sales as opposed to inhibiting it. 

The Process

Site Structure

The top of the homepage immediately greets visitors with rotating hero banners highlighting key promotions such as “Unisex Scents Up to 65% Off” and “Luxurious Scents for Men.” This section was crucial for Celestialscent as it gave prominent visibility to their latest offers, encouraging visitors to engage right away. These clickable banners direct users to promotional pages, improving user engagement by giving immediate access to discounted products and creating a sense of urgency.

Scrolling down, users encounter clear value props and curated product collections, including “Flash Deals” and “Fragrance Essentials.” These sections are laid out in a clean grid format, featuring high-quality images of the products alongside discount tags and pricing. The clarity of this layout ensures that customers can easily spot deals, compare products, and click through to individual product pages. 

Next, we focused on the Shop Page, which we designed to ensure a streamlined browsing experience for users. Celestialscent’s extensive fragrance catalog could easily overwhelm visitors, so we needed to implement a clear structure for easy navigation.

The products are presented in a grid format with clean white space between each item, ensuring that the user’s focus is directed toward the perfume bottle image and pricing. Each product image is accompanied by its name, price, and any promotional offer (e.g., “Sale” tags), so visitors can instantly recognize which items are discounted. This simple yet effective design minimizes cognitive load and encourages shoppers to click through to individual product pages.

The Product Page is where purchase decisions are made, so our focus was to ensure that users could get all the information they needed at a glance while still being encouraged to add products to their cart.

We used large, high-resolution images that allow visitors to closely examine each fragrance bottle. The inclusion of multiple angles and close-ups lets users better understand what they’re purchasing, which builds confidence and reduces uncertainty, especially important for an online perfume store where customers can’t physically interact with the products.

Through these UI improvements, we were able to create a more intuitive and enjoyable shopping experience for Celestialscent’s customers. Each part of the site—from the homepage to the individual product pages—was designed with conversions in mind. Here’s what their CEO Amaan Mohammed had to say about it:
