About The Kilted Consultant

Jason, the founder of The Kilted Consultant, helps businesses improve their customer service using Zendesk, a popular support software used by companies like Airbnb, Shopify, and Uber to manage customer inquiries. Recently, The Kilted Consultant was launched as a brand of it’s own to establish an online presence as the go-to expert for Zendesk consulting.

The challenge

Jason’s original landing page was simple and lacked a clear value proposition, which made it difficult to showcase his expertise as a high-level Zendesk consultant. The main challenge was creating a professional well-designed online presence that could attract higher-paying clients who needed a Zendesk implementation. 

His website didn’t differentiate him from the more established consultants, making it harder to stand out in the market. Our aim was the following: Creating a branded landing page that would act as a funnel to convert visitors into qualified leads, rather than relying solely on referrals for business growth.

One of the key elements of the redesign was embracing Jason’s unique identity as “The Kilted Consultant.” We created custom avatars of Jason in his signature kilt, which gave the site a friendly and approachable feel while still maintaining a professional tone. These avatars were sprinkled throughout the page to reinforce his personal brand, making the site feel more engaging and memorable.

For the landing page designed a modern, clean layout where we wanted to balance professionalism with personality.  You can see this with our use of nature based visuals, sharp typography, as well as the use of the custom made avatar which created a sense of trust and expertise. We also integrated Jason’s Scottish heritage by using subtle references to the scottish highlights, and of course the iconic Kilt, and add that memorable touch to make the site stand out.

We clearly laid out the common challenges businesses face when working with Zendesk and demonstrated how Jason’s services could solve those problems. Each section was accompanied by a strong call-to-action, encouraging visitors to take the next step—whether that was scheduling a consultation or downloading a brochure.

Testimonials from past clients were also featured to build credibility and trust.

And finally, we wanted to finish the flow of the website with Jason’s key certifications and main client logos which will provide the final confirmation to all landing page visitors that Jason can, firstly, solve relevant issues the visitor has, and secondly, can be trusted to solve that problem as he has successfully completed previous projects work with high profile clients.

The ultimate goal for The Kilted Consultant’s brand and website was to create a personalized, professional experience that would engage visitors and effectively communicate Jason’s unique value as a Zendesk consultant. When the new website launched, we were thrilled to hear how well it resonated with his target audience and how it immediately started attracting interest from potential clients.
